Have you heard others say “100% Italian Leather”?
If the furniture in question is made with 100% leather or 100% Italian Leather, but it does not state 100% full Grain Aniline Leather, then it is made from 100% Corrected Grain Leather aka Polyurethane Leather. Most, if not all reproductions in the mid price range are upholstered with Corrected Grain PU Leather. Corrected Grain is technically a form of leather that has a layer of polyurethane applied to the surface, which is then stamped or embossed using a synthetic plastic print roller to have the appearance of leather. By law, in the U.K and Australia corrected grain can no longer be sold as 100% leather. When that thin polyurethane top layer wears out, you will simply want to throw out that furniture.
What is 100% Full Grain Aniline Italian Leather?
Aniline Leather is the highest quality leather available. Aniline leather comes in other names such as premium aniline, naked aniline, aniline full grain, or true aniline; they’re all the same. Aniline is leather that has been dyed all the way through. It has no artificial top layer. It is soft and pliable with a texture that is easy on the skin when you feel it. The porous nature of aniline leather allows it to breathe naturally, which makes it that much more comfortable and durable when compared to regular "Italian Leather". Aniline is genuine leather and develops a patina gracefully over time versus cracking and wearing out.
Genuine Imported Leathers
In order to distinguish Rove's line of genuine imported full leathers from generic leathers offered elsewhere that make similar claims of quality, we highly encourage you to request free swatches from each store and compare them side by side!
We are confident you will see the difference our quality makes. Rove products are designed to last for years thus it is only fitting that great attention is owed to the material and craftsmanship of each piece.
Description
Perhaps the most comfortable sculpture ever made, Le Corbusier’s LC4 Chaise Lounge Chair is a compound of aesthetic brilliance and technical innovation. Simple, comfortable and classic, it is easy to see why this piece is so successful.
The curves of this chair closely mirror the human form, while hovering over the sturdy supports. The deep cushioning, upholstered in full grain Italian aniline leather, is a testament to modern relaxation. This fabric is the softest and most durable available, meaning that as with all classics, your Le Corbusier Chaise Lounge Chair will only get better with age.
This Lounge Chair is as contemporary now as it was in the 1920’s, representing the best of modern design.
Le Corbusier
Le Corbusier born in 1887 was a Swiss architect, designer, urbanist, writer and painter. He is famous for being one of the pioneers of what now is called Modern architecture or the International style. He began experimenting with furniture design in 1928. His cousin, Pierre Jeanneret collaborated on many of the designs. In 1928, Le Corbusier and Perriand began to put the expectations for furniture Le Corbusier into practice. The first results of the collaboration were chrome-plated tubular steel chairs designed for two of his projects, The Maison la Roche in Paris and a pavilion for Barbara and Henry Church. The most famous of these chairs and sofa sets are the now-iconic Le Corbusier LC2, LC3 and LC4. LC2 & LC3 are similar in design with the LC2 being the small version and the LC3 the larger version. Le Corbusier LC4 is the famous Chaise Lounge.

Plush and soft leather, this is a great lounger. The quality is superb.
Typical clean Le Corbusier lines for this lounge chair. The contours are natural and makes lounging what it should be. What a beautiful stand alone piece to have in your room.
