움 체어와 오토만은 "베개로 가득한 바구니 같이 완전히 웅크려 앉을 수 있는 의자" 라는 플로렌스 놀의 요청에 따라 에로 사리넨이 디자인해서 만들어졌습니다. 이 의자는 심플하지만 눕거나 똑바로 앉는 등 어떤 자세로든 쉴 수 있는 디자인과 부드러운 굴곡으로 표현된 팔걸이, 다양한 용도로 사용할 수 있는 쿠션으로 인기를 얻었습니다. 움 체어는 푹신함만 강조하기 보다는 알 껍질에 가까운 유기적 모양으로 안정감을 제공합니다.
