Not much is known about esteemed Danish designer Erik Buch (1923-1982), who continued to design products throughout his career until his death at the end of the mid-century. He is attributed to producing over 30 commercially successful designs that found their place in homes everywhere from Denmark to the American Midwest. He is acknowledged for his attention to detail and clever design. His most famous object, the Model 61 Barstool, is noted for its craftsmanship and became a namesake of 1961.
