A Great Piece of Furniture but Horrible Horrible Delivery Service by Vitran (an outsourcing Delivery Service Rove uses).
I was notified on a Monday that the order would be delivered on the Friday, the time frame came and went and when I called was informed that the item had not even made it onto the truck, and hence wouldn't be deliver until the following week. I had taken the afternoon off work to be home and nothing showed, no phone call either, I had to track Vitran.
So it was rescheduled for the following Tuesday and this time it did arrive, but only one delivery guy, and this was a very big substantial piece of furniture that required two people to lift it. He asked if I would help, I'm in my 60s, but what choice did I have?? I couldn't take another day off work so I helped him.
I called into Vitran to inquire why only one delivery driver and they were no help what so ever, I would even go as far as to say they were really rude!! They put the blame on Rove, stating that they were a cheap company. The reps I spoke with at Rove were really helpful and in the end gave me around a $50 credit. I paid $199.00 for delivery and had to assist in getting it off the truck. Had this been my company I would have credited the entire amount paid in shipping, but $50 is as good as it gets I guess.
However, with that said, even though I love the Piece I purchased, I probably wouldn't shop at Rove again.
